Examples Of Convergent Media

Examples of Convergent media:

18 Days in Egypt is a participatory website, in which people can upload their own content. It is ongoing constantly, and people can share their stories.

Star wars uncut is also convergent due to being participatory. Various people acted out a specific scene from star wars, and they were all combined together to make the entire film. The consumers became the producers with their content becoming the film.

This image by Penelope Umbrico is made up of various other images of suns, taken from Flickr. It is convergent as other people’s images are being used to create a new image, and the images taken by people are publicly displayed therefore, the consumers are becoming the producers.
